Let’s R’Idaho!
All 2023 Great R’Idaho Trails are released.
If you think you have the grit to survive a 1400 mile dirt bike route in the remote trails of Idaho, or do 500 miles of tough single track in 5 days, then this is the place. These routes will test the limits of any rider/bike that dares to embark on the adventure of a lifetime while riding across the beautiful, remote trails of Idaho. We will show you the routes as well as offer tips on how to prepare your mind, body and bike. But the real test is up to you to find the Guts, Resolve, Intelligence and Toughness (GRIT) to complete these expeditions.
Few things have captured the passion, and sometimes obsession, of the motorcycle adventure. For some, there’s no mystery as to why this is. Motorcycles represent a peculiar combination of several elements: freedom, self-reliance, danger, speed, singular focus, solitude, mechanics, and physical skill.
This style of riding is like a cross country survival Enduro. These journeys are definitely true adventures, but we now use the word “Adventure Enduro” to distinguish this type of riding from “Adventure Motorcycle” riding or even the typical dual sport riding, which are more dominated by smooth dirt, paved roads and some easy trails. Our journeys will have you on rugged trails about 60-80% of the time, on dirt roads for 15-35% and on paved roads for roughly 5% of the time. We have created routes that are designed to maximize the use of intermediate difficulty, single track dirt bike trails within gas range limits. We also include some easier bypass detours and some advanced special test section detours when available. But even “intermediate” trails will often have a few advanced spots along the way. Novice-C level trail riders and “ADV” bikes will likely find these routes over their heads. The bike gas range required is about 150 miles per fill-up, so upgrade that stock tank. The travel times for a complete expedition are at least 5 long days of hard riding, so upgrade that desk jockey body and lets R’Idaho!
