The Great R’Idaho Trail #2 is a 800+ mile, plated dirt bike giant loop that forms a figure 8 with the fascinating Wallace, ID at the center. It is setup to be done in 5 stages to reach gas, food and lodging. Each stage is designed to be achievable by an athletic “B” rider in a day if they start early to achieve 8-9 hours of moving time in order to accomplish the challenge while accessing the jaw dropping scenery. More “A” lever riders can increase their fun factor by using the Special Test options (black) to increase the trail miles or difficulty. Camping is readily available along this entire route if you want to increase the adventure factor in that form. The route maximizes motorcycle single track trail and even the main route often has advanced difficulty trail sections along the way. Easier bypass detours are also shown (light blue) for those that find the trails to be too difficult or are behind schedule. With the speed of trail miles being slower than road miles, you will be on trails over 60% of the time on this route. The dirt roads will often be a welcome rest from the rugged trail. The maximum gas range required is 155 miles. Welcome to Northern Idaho!
